The pictures on this page are reproductions of Kozlov´s vintage contact print (proof sheet) of a 35 mm black and white negative film, archival number: AF. The other pictures – not published here – show backstage shots of the band KINO (Georgy Guryanov, Viktor Tsoy, Yuri Kasparyan, and Alexander Titov) and other musicians, among them Boris Grebenshikov and Konstantin Kinchev (place and date not known). Most negatives are no longer available. One work by (E-E) Evgenij Kozlov was identified: VOX HUMANA (Автопортрет / Self-Portrait) see picture below. According to Sergey Kovalsky's documentation, a number of works were censored by the municipal exhibition committee (городская выставочная комиссия, gorodskaia vystavochnaia komissiia, shortened ‘gorodskoi vystavkom’), a division of Leningrad's Main Department of Culture – Главное Управление Культуры Ленгорисполкома, Glavnoe upravlenie kultury Lengorispolkoma. Censorship concerned, among others, E-E Kozlov's photo-collage polyptych ‘Good Evening Gustav’ more >> which he presented with a a Russian title, ‘Посвящение Густаву’, A Dedication to Gustav (Kovalsky et al., TEII, p. 611). Apparently, giving it a Russian title didn't help. |
