Vadim Sadovnikov ist Maler und Sänger, expressiv und eloquent.

„Diese Bilder sind die Reflexionen von Erscheinungen, welche sowohl belustigen als auch erschrecken. Es sind Rätsel, die den Wunsch entstehen lassen, schöpferisch zu handeln. Und aus dem Träumen nehme ich viel."

E. Kozlov:„Warum bist du nicht ins Konservatorium oder in die Kunsthochschule eingetreten, sondern ins Priesterseminar?

V. Sadovnikov: „Das ist Gottes Werk, geistige Kunst, das Allervollkommenste.

E. Kozlov: „ Warum malst du dann gerade solche Bilder und nicht zum Beispiel abstrakte Bilder?

V. Sadovnikov: „Es ist das, was ich empfinde. Wie auf dem grauen Blatt Papier die Spritzer verschiedener Farben hingeworfen sind, genauso ist meine Wahrnehmung. Der graue Alltag ist das Papier, und die Wahrnehmung ist die Zeichnung.

"These images are reflections of occurences, which both amuse and frighten. They are riddles provoking desire for action. I also obtain a lot of ideas from dreams."

E. Kozlov: "Why did you choose to enter the seminary as opposed to the conservatory or the Academy of Arts?"

V. Sadovnikov: "It was God's will. It is spiritual art – the most complete thing in the universe."

E. Kozlov: "Why is it you paint such pictures, rather than painting icons or abstraction?"

V. Sadovnikov: "It's what I see, what I perceive. My perception is like the various splashes of color on the grey paper. The paper is like the greyness of the day, and the drawing is my perception."

«Эти картины представляют собой отражение явлений, которые и забавляют и пугают. Загадки, от которых приходит желание делать мое искусство, и еще из снов многое беру.»

Е. Козлов: «Почему поступил не в консерваторию и не в Академию художеств, а в духовную семинарию?»

В. Садовников: «Это промысел божий. Духовное искусство есть самое совершенное.»

Е. Козлов:  «Почему рисуешь именно такие картины, а скажем, не абстракции или иконы?»

В. Садовников: «А я так вижу, так воспринимаю. Как на серый лист бумаги брошены брызги разноцветных красок, так же и мои образы. Как серые будни подобны бумаге, а восприятие – это рисунок.»
